Georgian film and theater has always been highly regarded by local, as well as, by international audience and critics.

    The fact that the fine representatives of the Georgian acting school worked along with the famous Georgian directors contributed to the popularity of Georgian film and theater.  The Georgian film has established its prominent place  in the world cinematography.

     It also went through a crisis, which was caused by the socio-political transitions that took place in the country after the dissolution of the Soviet Union. Currently Georgian film is undergoing a new phase ( from ideological as well as technical standpoint).

     The new studios are being established and built and such studios will be fully equipped for filming new movies.  This process created a need for establishing the agency which would create a database of Georgia actors and would try to make the Georgian actors popular in Georgia and beyond its borders.

     For such purposes the “GE-Art agency” was founded in Tbilisi on November 23, 2005.   The goal of the agency is to create the working conditions for the actors that will assist the actors to fully realize their professional potential.

    It should be noted that Ge-Art is the first, and the only agency in the country which represents actors’ interests in the industry.  The agency believes that the future of Georgian cinematography depends on creating of professional and legally sound working relationships.

    Based on the world market demands, representatives of Georgian cinematography will be happy to collaborate with foreign film studios.
